WMD Siblings Edition (Unpeated)

THE STORY BEHIND SIBLINGS Siblings takes its name from the brother-and-sister founders of WMD. To tell that story in whisky, two closely matched first-fill ex-bourbon casks from Oz Tyler were selected as a pair - sibling casks with the same origin, then given two very different lives. Both casks were brought to England and recoupered down to approximately 100 litres. The smaller format increases the spirit's interaction with the oak, allowing the first-fill bourbon character to become a defining part of both whiskies. Before filling, one cask was peat-smoked (the black bottle). The other was left untouched  (this one). The result is a yin-and-yang release: unmistakably related, but dramatically different in personality.
