Tobermory 2008 Tawny Port Cask - distillery exclusive

A stunning and dangerously quaffable Tobermory 17yo - aged for 12 years in ex-Bourbon cask before a long "finishing" period of an extra 5 years in Tawny Port Casks.
This is a warehouse #1 distillery exclusive (technically only available to buy at the distillery).
 
"Immediately a whisky that you want to smell for the next hour", extremely inviting nose of dark ginger cake, freshly baked pain aux raisins, dark chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, crumbly oat cookies, nutmeg & custard tart, mahogany, a core of barley wrapped in sweet dark fruit. The palate follows suit with the oak becoming more prominent showcasing baking spices, crystalized ginger, cocoa dust, sweet almond and chocolate coated orange florentines. Dangerously delicious and masks well its' 57.4% ABV cask strength.

Unchill-filtered, natural colour, undiluted (as whiskky should be).
