Tobermory 2006 Manzanilla Butt Matured (hand filled)

A rare and delicious single cask Tobermory 20yo - matured in a Manzanilla Butt.
This is a warehouse #1 distillery exclusive (technically only available to buy at the distillery).
 
Bottled on the 6th March 2026, coming from cask #285
Unchill-filtered, natural colour, undiluted (as whiskky should be), bottled at 55.3%
 
Tasting notes
Nose: immediately approachable with salted arcona almonds, worn leather, sea spray, drift wood, with undertones of dried fruit and marzipan.
Palate: really savoury attack, the manzanilla salinity really coming through, tons of oak spice, leathery, savoury, nearly beef-stock yet bright with passion fruit creme brûlée, toasted almonds, leather-bound books, mahogany, wood varnishes and dried fruits. Glorious stuff!
Finish: magically combines bright (passion fruit, plums, floral) & dark (wood spice, leather, toasted malt loaf) in one, walking a tight rope between being rich yet bright. Dangerously delicious.
