Tobermory 1994 Oloroso Butt Finish (hand filled)

An ultra-rare and delicious single cask Tobermory 32yo - Oloroso Butt Finish.
It has spent an initial 13y in ex-bourbon casks before a mental 19yo "finish" (2nd maturation really) in an Oloroso Butt.
This is a warehouse #1 distillery exclusive (technically only available to buy at the distillery).
 
Bottled on the 6th March 2026, coming from cask #15
Unchill-filtered, natural colour, undiluted (as whiskky should be), bottled at 55.3%
 
Tasting notes
Nose: kirsch, cherry Bakewell, maraschino, dark chocolate, undergrowth. Like walking through a dark forest and finding a bakery making delicious fruit cakes.
Palate: intense, very dark, that same core of black cherry and dark chocolate (Black Forest gateau) comes though quite vividly, before gently fading into bags of dark wood spices, dried plums, gentle savoury edges, dark honey, gently burnt granola & raisin biscuits.
Finish: long, complex, dark yet moreish. A contemplation dram.
