Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength - Batch 25 (2024 Release)

The 2024 release of the Springbank 12 Years Old Cask Strength is bottled at 57.2% and already the 25th batch of an impressive line of cask strength whiskies from the Campbeltown distillery. It matured on bourbon casks (70%) and on sherry casks (30%), giving it flavours of figs, caramel and notes of chocolate, charcoal, nutmeg and even a hint of coffee.  Springbank is one of the three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown, which was once one of the most prolific whisky distilling areas of Scotland. It was founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family, who had been living in the region since the 17th century. Descendants of the Mitchell family still own the distillery today, making Springbank the oldest family-owned distillery in Scotland.
