Retribution English Single Malt - batch PR002

Based in a tiny farm unit just west of Frome, Retribution is small-batch in all its glory, focusing on terroir, yeast strains, cask provenance and natural presentation. These spirits are the fruits of founder Richard Lock's labour, the man who oversees every aspect of production; even designing the direct-fire pot stills used to produce the spirit.
 
This single cask expression follows the tremendous success of the inaugural malt from the distillery and is, once again, a single cask expression, this time limited to just 170 bottles! Matured in an ex-Buffalo Trace quarter cask for 3 years 4 months, the whisky exhibits a very different profile to its sibling cask (an ex-Jim Beam bourbon cask).
