DNA’99 is Pizzato’s flagship wine, produced only in the very best vintages from a single block of Merlot and arguably is the finest red produced in Brazil. 
 
 
With its 1st ever edition being 1999 coming from one of the oldest Merlot vine plantings in Brazil, this wine soon became synonym with being not only the best Merlot in the country, but one of the best reds full stop. It has won multiple national awards and picked by Decanter magazine as the country's best red wine too.
 
Only produced in the best vintages, DNA99 was only produced 8 times since 1999 (2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 e 2014, 2015, 2018, 2021 & 2022 are the other produced vintages).
 
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Complex bouquet of ripe plum and blackberry, with nuances of cedar, dark chocolate, wet earth and subtle oak spice.
Palate: Full-bodied and balanced, rich red and dark fruit core, sophisticated integration of oak leading to hints of tobacco, cocoa, and spice, with firm but refined tannins.
Finish: Long, with lingering fruit and savory notes indicating good ageing potential.
