Octomore Futures

A bottle of the Octomore 'Futures' release - the first distillation of Bruichladdich's notorious mega-peated spirit. This first Octomore is very phenolic at 80.5ppm and was distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2008 - a limited edition whisky whose the first 800 cases were sold in advance by the distillery to private customers from whence this bottle has come.
 
For its maturation, the Octomore 2002 Futures was aged exclusively in bourbon casks sourced from Buffalo Trace, which contributed to its flavor profile. The release was limited to 9,600 bottles, making it a collectible item. The Octomore 2002 Futures is part of the 'Ochdamh-mor 80.5ppm' bottling series from Bruichladdich, a distillery recognized for its commitment to quality and innovation in whisky production.
