Longrow 21yo 2020 Release

The second release of Longrow 21 has arrived. The oldest core range bottling of the heavily peated Single Malt from Springbank. This has been matured in a combination of Sherry (95%) and Bourbon (5%) casks for the 2020 edition.
 
Tasting Notes:
Nose
Sweet and meaty, with glazed cherries and cured meats layered over stewed dark plum. Chewy black wine gums mingle with maple syrup and crispy bacon, while robust peat lends a medicinal lift. A vibrant perfume with a zesty note of orange peel.
Palate
Sweet, smoky and waxy with a twist of citrus. Caramel shortbread with marzipan, lemon zest and a dusting of icing sugar. Wax crayons and rich dried fruits with a touch of clove spice.
Finish
Rich and plummy with black forest gateau, bitter chocolate and soft dark fruits; a recognisable cereal, earthy, farmyard character lingers through the finish.
