Kilkerran Fresh Bourbon 14yo (Cage bottle)

One of Springbank's legendary "cage bottles", this single malt was distilled in 2009 and matured in a Fresh Bourbon, eventually bottled at 56.9% ABV.

Found in one of the most remote parts of Scotland, the Springbank Distillery is still family-owned. Situated on the western parts of Scotland on the Kintyre Peninsula, it is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company. They also own Glengyle Distillery, William Cadenheads (the oldest independent bottler) and several other blended scotch labels. They are tough cookies down in this neck of the world where they are one of the last surviving producers of single malt whiskies in Campbeltown. They have been licensed in 1828 and at one time the area had over thirty active distilleries. The distillery produces both peated and unpeated expressions under three distinct brands. Springbank, Hazelburn and Longrow.
