Produced by the renowned Kavalan Distillery, this first-ever 15-year-old single malt represents the pinnacle of Taiwanese whisky craftsmanship. It is crafted from a careful blend of whiskies matured in ex-bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry casks, ruby port casks, and selected puncheons, delivering remarkable depth and complexity.
Aged under Taiwan’s subtropical climate, this whisky expresses a rich and vibrant aromatic profile with notes of caramel, chocolate, candied fruits, toffee, dried fruits, and citrus. It pays tribute to the island’s tropical character while offering outstanding balance and elegance.
 
ABOUT KAVALAN
Kavalan is a whisky distillery founded in 2005 in Yilan County, Taiwan. It released its first bottling in 2008, and quickly gained international acclaim, with one expression delicated as the "new whisky of the year" in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible in 2012. The Kavalan Podium Single Malt in the flagship offering from Kavalan of which is aged in both brand new and older American oak casks. Water for the mashing process is sourced from both the Central Mountains and the Snow Mountains. This pure glacial water consistently creates a smooth and mellow flavor profile of the single malt. The hot temperatures of Taiwan speeds up the maturation process for the whisky in barrel as the the spirit is able to extract from the oak at a faster rate. The Kavalan Oloroso utilizes old sherry casks for aging and ex-bourbon oak is also sourced for select whiskies from Kavalan. The company is named after the Kavalan people, the indigenous inhabitants of the Yilan plain, and is owned by food and beverage producer King Car Group.
