RØØF24 Square, the third chapter in the Domaine des Hautes Glaces’ journey into the “finish,” highlights the bold character of 100% malted rye, softened through maturation in vin jaune casks. This intricate single rye is a blend of multiple vintages from Gabert and Vulson plots, aged first in Cognac barrels before a five-month finish in vin jaune casks. The nose opens with peppery, woody notes mingling with hints of vin jaune, inviting exploration of its depth. On the palate, the rye's explosive nature mellows into a harmonious balance, where vin jaune tempers its wild character. The finish offers a subtle union of strength and sweetness, as the rye retains its singular identity. With copper highlights, RØØF24 Square is a textured whisky that combines the essence of Jura with Alpine terroir.
