Filey Bay Moscatel Sherry Cask

A refined evolution of Filey Bay’s signature coastal style, matured in hand-selected ex-Moscatel sherry hogsheads to deliver exceptional depth and elegance. This release marks a milestone for the distillery, bringing a beloved finish into the permanent core range and showcasing a richer, more mature character. 

Crafted using Filey Bay’s fractional marrying system, the whisky develops greater complexity with every release while retaining a consistently premium profile. Expect a seamless fusion of Spanish sweetness and Yorkshire provenance, underpinned by the distillery’s field-to-bottle ethos and 100% homegrown barley.
 
Whilst sherries like Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso are well known in single malt whisky maturation, Moscatel is much more rare and unusual. Moscatel grapes are known for floral aromas. The grapes thrive in sandy soil and Moscatel vineyards are close to the beaches in the sherry region of Spain – making it a perfect match for Filey Bay whisky, made on the Yorkshire Coast.
