Chorlton Ruadh Maor (Glenturret ) 14yo

Chorlton Ruadh Maor (Glenturret) is a single cask, highly peated Highland single malt Whiskey distilled at Glenturret Distillery under the "Ruadh Maor" name. This is then bottled by Manchester-based independent bottler, Chorlton Whiskey. It is known for its high strength (around 57.3% ABV), natural colour and no chill filtration, often matured in bourbon or specialty casks like Marsala or Moscatel. 
 
TASTING NOTES:
Nose: A mad but warm and inviting mix of cigars, peat smoked chocolate raisins, coal bunkers, grilled pares, BBQ meat with burnt lemon and herbs, green walnuts and a pinch of garam masala.
Palate: Fantastic sweet, chunky and herbal smoke, with coal tar, the blackest of black liquorice, black cardamoms, sticky hoisin sauce, oranges and coriander seeds. The body is huge, developing on smoky caramel, BBQ sauces, and salt & pepper ribs.
Finish: The finish is long, salty, savoury and ashy.
