THE HOLY SPIRITS VIEW

Bruichladdich's Still Series doesn't come round often — Blacker, Redder and Golder landed between 2006 and 2008, then nothing for eighteen years. Greener Still finally closes the set, marking 25 years since the distillery's revival with a barley experiment rather than a cask one: organic, biodynamic and ancient Bere grain, three separate philosophies distilled and married as one. A genuine piece of Bruichladdich history, not just another anniversary bottle.

THE DISTILLERY

Brought out of mothballs in 2001, Bruichladdich rebuilt itself around transparency and terroir — pioneering Islay-grown barley, championing farmers by name, and becoming a certified B Corp along the way.

THE WHISKY: GREENER STILL, 15 YEAR OLD

Three barleys, three stories: organic grain grown on the Scottish mainland without artificial inputs, ancient Bere landrace cultivated on Orkney with the University of the Highlands and Islands, and biodynamic barley from a carbon-positive farm in Wiltshire — Bruichladdich's one deliberate break from its 100% Scottish barley rule. All unpeated, matured the full fifteen years in first-fill bourbon barrels, entirely on Islay. Bottled 51.6% ABV, non-chill filtered, natural colour.
