Arran 10 Year Old 2015 First-Fill Sherry Hogshead, Cask #825, Nickolls & Perks

A single cask offering of Lochranza (Arran) whisky bottled by Nickolls & Perks. Matured solely in a single first-fill sherry cask for over 10 years before being bottled without any artificial colouring or chill-filtration. 
 
Arran is a robust Island malt at its core, and a full maturation in sherry has resulted in an expression of generous abundance that will leave any whisky fan smacking their lips to the tune of its complexity and long finish. Just 321 bottles were produced.
 
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Golden raisins and Victoria sponge cake, toffee apple and varnished oak. Orange Marmalade, condensed milk and hints of dry sherry.
Palate: Rich sherry-soaked fruit cake. Leather and tobacco develop in the background with a hint of liquorice, followed by Jamaica cake, cinnamon and toffee.
Finish: Freshly baked honey tart, cinnamon spice, more sherry-soaked fruit, Medjool dates and dark chocolate.
