Tobermory 2008 16yo Oloroso Cask #3082 Berry Bros & Rudd

Part of the independently bottled "Coasts & Shores" single cask releases from Berry Bros & Rudd (the world's oldest wine merchant founded in 1698), their 16 year old Tobermory is a real treat for any fans of this tiny distillery in the Isle of Mull. This whisky was distilled in 2008 and then spent the last part of its maturation process in an Oloroso cask no. #3082. Generously bottled at cask strength of 54.9% ABV.
 
Tasting Notes
On the nose, dark chocolate and sea salt beckon, underscored by the allure of sweet prune juice. The palate unveils velvety, chocolate-covered raisins, sticky-sweet toffee, and more juicy prunes. The finish is long and refined, conjuring the image of a windswept wharf, where the salty sea air mingles with the scent of aged oak.
