Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1996

The 1996 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a vibrant and opaque dark red color with almost no signs of aging. It has an intriguing nose of sarsaparilla, fresh plum and lingering notes of floral, vanilla and cedar. With a wonderfully dense and flavorful entry, this Cabernet shows signs of being a big, bruising wine in its youth—but is currently in a period of balance between youthful and developed aromas. The finish is not terribly long but has flavors of apricot and a strong fruit core along with a fine tannin structure. Decanting suggested due to light sediment. Enjoy now through 2027.
